We are honoured to have been appointed as official agents for the sale of the esteemed collection of Mr Drew Pritchard, antique dealer extraordinaire and star of TV show ‘Salvage Hunters’
Constructed on the 31st May 1960 and destined for Belgium, this highly original example was delivered in Paprika Red (L452) with Red/Stone Beige interior as confirmed by the Volkswagen Certificate retained on file
Original options included M355 ‘US Equipment’, M139 ‘Sealed beam headlamps and red rear lamp lenses’ and M951 ‘Ram protection’
Imported to the UK in September 2019, this original and well preserved example has recently benefitted from a sympathetic restoration by leading marque specialist Stephen Nolan of Wolfsburg VW who retained as much of the original paint possible during the body and chassis restoration
The mileage shown on the odometer reads 34,000 miles, whilst this can’t be warranted it is believed that this mileage is correct based on the overall condition of the car prior to its restorative works, some of which are documented on the social media account of Wolfsburg VW
Offered direct from the collection of Drew Pritchard with original instruction manual, VW certificate detailing the original build specification, importation documents from California to the UK, various parts invoices from the restoration and UK V5 road registration
