History

This early Series one Volante was originally finished in Orchard Green coachwork with Magnolia leather hides and automatic transmission

Acquired by the second owner Mr Anthony White on 10th May 1982 via Robin Hamilton (Aston Martin) Ltd. Extensive documentation accompanies the car detailing his acquisition from Robin Hamilton including a note from his private bank C.Hoare and Co Bankers confirming funds had been sent to the tune of £23,900!

Mr White was a partner at Spratt and White Ltd, a Llyods insurance firm based at Lime Street London, EC3M and the history file documents his ownership with countless letters from him to Robin Hamilton and later Ian Mason regarding service and remedial work, he was clearly a keen enthusiast and a man who knew exactly what he wanted!

In 1990 the Aston was passed down to Mr White’s son who continued to use and enjoy the car as his father did. In the mid nineties he commissioned a body and chassis restoration, images and invoices are held on file, and the car was repainted in the attractive hue of Buckingham Green coachwork it sports today. He later relocated to New Zealand taking the Volante with him and the vendor acquired the car in 2016, re-importing it to the UK where it was issued with its original UK registration

Enjoyed in the summer months and maintained by marque exponents R.S.Williams and most recently Pugsley and Lewis in October 2019, who carried out a major service, rebuilt the alternator, fitted a new battery, tuned the engine, replaced split king pin gaiters, fitted new stainless steel exhaust manifolds and more at a cost of over £8000

This genuine 45,000 miles example is in very good condition throughout, drives and presents very well and is offered with an outstanding historical file and fitted with a Nakamichi stereo system! Priced attractively and a huge amount of Volante for the money!
